Nia graduated from the University of Exeter in 1983 with a First in History,
and has an MA in European Studies. Since 1987 she has worked as a
freelance writer and musician. Her work as a pianist and repetiteur involves
accompanying singers, instrumentalists, choirs and companies including
Opera Anywhere, Stagecoach, English Touring Opera, Oxford Operatic Society,
Music Youth Company Oxford, Charity Opera, Scene Stealers, Oxford Opera Studio.
She has played for singers at venues in London and Oxford, including the
Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square,
the Jacqueline du Pre Music Room and the Holywell Room.
Nia also coaches and accompanies students for ABRSM grade exams,
and works with children in school and theatre-in-education projects.

Opera & Operetta

Nia has worked as an accompanist/repetiteur for a number of companies, choirs and societies including: Opera Anywhere, Stagecoach, English Touring Opera, Oxford Operatic Society, Music Youth Company Oxford, Charity Opera, Scene Stealers, Oxford Opera Studio. She is also the pianist for trio terzina, accompanying Rebecca Martin and soprano Sarah Leatherbarrow.
